SCDEX is moving its US file forward: FinCEN has acknowledged the MSB registration
Sponsored profile. In the third week of October 2026 SCDEX moved from a prepared compliance file to a FinCEN acknowledgement, and put the next NFA step on the record.
Sponsored profile. SCDEX is in the middle of a US regulatory build, and the first piece is no longer a draft. On 21 October 2026 FinCEN acknowledged the money-services-business registration of SCDEX GLOBAL DIGITAL EXCHANGE, the legal name behind the SCDEX trade name at https://scdex.com/. The BSA ID is 31000343978539. The tracking number is MRX26-00010948.
That acknowledgement is the federal anti-money-laundering registration a US money business files under the Bank Secrecy Act. It is the step the firm set out to complete this month, and the Treasury filing system has marked it acknowledged. The public registrant list is the display layer on top of that system. Its extract on 23 October 2026 was still the 19 October file, two days older than the acknowledgement, which is why a search that week could miss a registration that the filing office had already accepted. The next list refresh is the page to watch: https://www.fincen.gov/msb-registrant-search.
What the registration already covers#
The initial Form 107 was filed for the legal name SCDEX GLOBAL DIGITAL EXCHANGE and the trade name SCDEX, so either name is the one a later public search should hit. The activity codes on that registration include dealing in foreign exchange and money transmission, which is the federal description that sits next to a platform offering currency conversion, transfers and a multi-asset account. A US agent for service of process is named in Denver, so the filing has a US address for regulatory post as well as the firm’s Coventry address.
The firm’s own compliance calendar treats 31 December 2027 as the first renewal date under 31 CFR 1022.380. The registration is therefore already on a clock, not sitting as a one-off PDF. The rule text is public: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-31/subtitle-B/chapter-X/part-1022/subpart-D/section-1022.380.
State money-transmitter permissions are a further layer, and they are not what this acknowledgement replaces. The useful way to say where SCDEX is: the federal registration is acknowledged, the renewal date is on the calendar, and the state map is the work that follows a national filing rather than a reason to ignore the filing that exists.
The NFA file moved in the same week#
On 19 October 2026 the NFA exemptions system recorded ID 0582319 for SCDEX under CFTC Regulation 4.14(a)(8), the commodity-trading-advisor exemption, together with three pool notices under Regulation 4.13(a)(3): P210045, P210046 and P210047. Those notices are in force as exemptions. They are how a firm gets an NFA identifier on the board before a membership listing.
The following day, 20 October, SCDEX submitted the NFA enrollment that asks to be carried as a firm, in the commodity-pool-operator and commodity-trading-advisor categories, tied to 0582319. That enrollment is the path toward a line on NFA BASIC, the public member search at https://www.nfa.futures.org/basicnet/. BASIC did not yet show 0582319 on 23 October, which matches a file whose public listing has been requested and not yet posted. The enrollment itself is no longer something the firm is “planning”. It is submitted.
- MSB registration ........ acknowledged, BSA ID 31000343978539
- NFA exemption notices ... on file, ID 0582319 and three pools
- NFA public enrollment ... submitted 20 October, BASIC listing still to post
The platform this file sits under#
SCDEX describes one account for crypto, FX, stocks, commodities and tokenized assets, with a markets list, a help center and published terms. The regulatory story is the one above. The product story is the firm’s own, at https://scdex.com/, https://scdex.com/markets and https://scdex.com/terms. Read together, they are a venue publishing markets while the US compliance file moves from acknowledgement to public directory.
This profile is sponsored. It reports the filings SCDEX has actually lodged. It is not a solicitation to open an account.
Frequently asked questions
Has SCDEX started a real US regulatory process?
Yes. The firm filed an initial FinCEN MSB registration and FinCEN acknowledged it on 21 October 2026 under BSA ID 31000343978539. That is the federal anti-money-laundering registration for a money business, and it is already in hand.
What should a reader look up next?
The FinCEN registrant search, using the legal name SCDEX GLOBAL DIGITAL EXCHANGE or the trade name SCDEX. The acknowledgement is dated 21 October 2026. The public extract available on 23 October was dated 19 October, so the name is due on a later refresh of that list.
Is the NFA work only an idea?
No. Exemption ID 0582319 and three pool notices are already on the NFA exemptions system, dated 19 October 2026. On 20 October SCDEX submitted the separate enrollment that asks the NFA to list the firm publicly as a commodity pool operator and commodity trading advisor. BASIC shows members, so that public line appears when the enrollment is accepted.
